By attending your telehealth consultation these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before attending your session. Your audiologist will go over these conditions at the beginning of your consultation and obtain your signed consent.
Honest hearing is committed to delivering accurate and useful information at the time of service. It is important to bear in mind that although we endeavour to ensure that information is updated and correct at all times, we do rely on third parties to provide information to us so that we then can make it available to you. Hearing technology available to the consumer is constantly evolving in this digital world and you acknowledge that the recommendation provided although appropriate at the time may be superseded with advanced technology post consultation.
Providing personal data within the session is standard in the consultation to be able to provide an appropriate hearing solution. Whilst there is no storing or recording of the information you provide in the video and or phone consultation itself, it is your responsibility to keep your internet, device such as computer, tablet, phone secure at all times. We therefore recommend that you do not bypass your phone’s security features or root your phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. It could make your phone vulnerable to malware/viruses/malicious programs, and compromise your phone’s security features.
You should be aware that there are certain things that Honest Hearing will not take responsibility for. An online telehealth appointment requires a stable and active internet connection. We cannot take responsibility for the session not working at full functionality if you do not have access to a stable connection, if you do not have any of your data allowance left or if your device battery runs out. We have the discretion to offer a secondary consultation if technical difficulties arise.
If you are connected outside a Wi-Fi modality, you should remember that your terms of the agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, you may be charged by your mobile provider for the cost of data for the duration of the connection while accessing your telehealth services. Upon attending your consultation, you are accepting responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if connected outside of your home territory without turning off data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you are using to connect to your consultation, please be aware that we assume that you have received permission from the bill payer prior.
